The OBRA 93 Trust is not the right solution for all scenarios because it does not preserve Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits so care must be taken to understand the trust’s scope and limitations. This program delves into the optimal circumstances for establishing an OBRA 93 Trust and the critical provisions required for proper setup. Attendees will learn about the intricacies of trust administration, including common pitfalls and traps that trustees may encounter.
